In search of a new blog name
My blog. My poor, neglected blog. It’s been a while.
As I type this, I’m sitting at home with the mother of all head colds, too congested to sleep it off.
I’m taking it as a sign I need to refocus on some little corners of my life that have been gathering cobwebs – one of them is my health, another is the blog.
Anti-Princess Mama, while honest and apt, is a name I think I need to change.
It has served me well as complementing the Anti-Princess Club books and the media attention surrounding their release.
But it’s a little limiting.
I’m more than that.
I have so many stories beyond the APC whirling around in my head, and I wonder if I need a blog name that won’t pigeon hole me as a one-subject-wonder in the children’s book world.
Does my blog need a name at all? Can I just have a ‘blog’ button on the samanthaturnbull website without a label of its own?
I’d love your feedback.
And if you do have a suggestion that I simply must pilfer, I’ll send you a set of all four signed Anti-Princess Club books.
Leave a comment below and I’ll be in touch.
Now, off to the Vicks inhaler I go.
i agree with others that you don’t need a name. Just being Samantha Turnball blog is fine. Although if you want something a little catchy you could call it “Samantha says…” Or something along those lines.
Stick to your name only. Yes, put a blog button on your website, and give your blog the name Samantha Turnbull Blog. If your ultimate goal is to sell books from the love, familiarity & power of your name, then promote it everywhere. Samantha Turnbull, author, is your product. x
I think you might be right!
It’s perfectly fine to be yourself!
